Hi friends and bloggers. I know its been a while. I just want to say surprisingly life is good. I’ve been keeping busy with a lot of graphic design work coming my way lately and I’m grateful for the opportunities. Also finally now that I’m working more I could afford buying a new phone. I had a old alcatel pixi 1 with the android gingerbread os but now bought the alcatel pixi 2 with android jelly bean 🙂 .
I’ve been through a lot in the last month. I honestly can say I’ve grown in a positive way. Sure I had some ups and downs with my design client but I somehow managed to pull through and meet my clients needs. It feels good to feel like I have a purpose. A reason to get out of bed in the morning.
Sure I’m dealing with my anxiety and depression issues still, but keeping busy helps not have time to be afraid or depressed I guess. Especially when you doing work that you love to do. I have been blessed in this month I thank God.
Well I’m glad I finally found some time to write a blog post. Finally free for the weekend no work. So gonna spend the weekend relaxing and catching up on tvshows and anime. Hope all of you have an awesome weekend too.
Its time I’ve stared my new project but I can’t help but think about my old ones and how it failed. Before this blog I had 2 other blogs. My 1st blog was about where I’d give my opinion about social media and show off some graphic design. My 2nd blog wasn’t mine alone it was a partnership with my friend zak. It was a photography blog.
I guess the reason It failed was? Because I was in a hurry to do it without thinking things through. So it felt pressuring to come up with content instead of enjoying what I love to do. Which is blogging. That’s why I’ve started this personal blog because its about my life and stuff I love. No pressure when it comes to writing articles or putting in the work.
Also a project I suppose to do was to design and distribute a inspirational magazine that supposedly to be free for download to anyone. That project got canned because I fell into depression and wasn’t fully prepared for the task I guess. My previous blogs and projects weren’t total failures.
I learnt a lot from them. Especially when dealing with future projects. Like how to prepare and create content in advance so that you don’t feel pressured. Quality beats quantity. How to connect with readers and how to drive traffic to my blog. So even though I failed at my pass projects. They gave me valuable experience that can’t be learnt through reading or any type of theory.
That’s why I think I’ve done a great job so far with my personal blog. So far this was a test run to see if I learnt anything from my past failures. So yeah I did 🙂 . That’s why now before I start my new project I want to make sure I’ve gotten everything in order. I hope you guys reading this learnt sometimes failure isn’t failure it is experience on what not to do 🙂
Be honest with yourself! Don’t you want to a read blogs by real people instead of something artificial. I hate reading those super professional blogs that may seem like they are written by robot’s. So I put together a list of blogs that I read recently that are written by real people. So check them out.
If u into 50 shades of grey kind of stuff. Only read if you 18 or older.
Hope you guys enjoy reading these blog’s because I know I have 🙂
Hey! how you doing my blog friends and followers. My apologies for not posting. I have been caught up in my own little world lately. As my last post suggest my new possible job! Well that was a lie. Apparently people from my church who knew I was unemployed used me to do data capturing for our churches systems. My church is rich to the millions and they can’t afford to pay a guys whose hustling for about 3 days of updating their system. Sure that sucked being used by the church when I taught I was getting offered a job.
Oh well things do change my friend is doing a movie and offered to pay me for my time. Why can’t my rich church do that! I wonder. The past is the past no point holding a grudge time to move forward and enjoy the weekend to come.
On other news it is my niece’s birthday this weekend and my mom is cooking food outside for her on saturday. I can’t wait for that. Sadly I wouldn’t have enough time to spend with her due to filming this weekend but I guess I will have a few hours to make it count.
This week for me is an important one. My graphic design brand has to be redone due to another company having the same name. Have to get back to the drawing board and come up with a new name. I realised that I if don’t put myself out there that things will never change and I won’t be able to become a successful graphic designer. Once I’ve come up with a name I will create a facebook page for my work and designs.
As you can see its gonna be a busy week for me. So won’t be blogging until next week, so see you soon.
The first thing you should know about me is that the internet has always interested me. For a long time I wanted to make a personal website but I stopped myself because I didn’t ever think I had anything worth sharing. I had a vast knowledge of blogging since I was into website and cms designs but never really created a website for myself.
Later on my friend zak khan who inspired me to create my first blog called askvishal. That blog was strictly a graphic design blog. I no longer use that blog because it was a trail basis to see if I would enjoy blogging and I did. Now that I have the experience of a blogger I can create a proper graphic design blog later on that will be successful. It wasn’t long before I started this blog, my personal blog.
It was you the readers that inspired me to be myself. Every time someone comments or liked anything I’ve written, it makes me happy knowing that you value my taught’s. Most of all I write because I want to relate to people going through similar walks of life.
I’d never taught I’d ever hear someone call me a blogger certainly not here at home. It was a surprise to find out one of my neighbours actually reads my blog and calls me a blogger. In southafrica blogging isn’t as common like in america or the uk.
Sure the technology is up to standard in our country but the internet sucks because its pricey.
#One question : do you consider yourself as a blogger? Comment and let me know what are your taughts.
